ALEC Awarded Dubai Festival City Phase 2 Construction Works
Dubai, 5 November 2014 – ALEC, a member of AL Jaber Group has been awarded the new Project Salsa 2 Dubai Festival City Mall repositioning Phase 2 development in Dubai.

Scope of Works:
Enclose Canal walk and create the Canal Mall Walk.
Construction of Anchors at North and South of Canal Walk
Reconfiguration of internal corridors to form the 2 Race Track. Additional toilet facilities and reconfiguration of Retail units.
Food Court reconfiguration and deletion of Electronics corridor.
Form anchor store Opposite Paris Gallery.
Pavilion Façade Enhancements.
About the Development:
Al-Futtaim Group Real Estate (AFGRE), the real estate development and operations arm of Al-Futtaim group, has launched phase two of its expansion allowing space for more fashion and lifestyle brands. The move is part of a large-scale redevelopment plan which includes reforming the mall\’s exterior and adding more retail brands.
The project will deliver an enlarged Festival Square connecting with the unique waterfront dining locations. The first phase of this two-phase refurbishment program began in January. It included repainting work, removal of certain kiosks and the addition of shopping space for retailers like Landmark group to setup in the mall.

Upon completion, 50,000 residents living will live in 20,000 villas, townhouses and apartments and 50,000 office personnel will work at Dubai Festival City.
