Al Jaber's GPS wins major gas project in Oman
The Gas Dehydration and Gas Sweetening systems will be manufactured at the GPS fabrication facilities in Abu Dhabi.
Global Process Systems (GPS), a member of the Al-Jaber Group, has secured a key contract with Larsen & Toubro Ltd of India to supply Gas Sweetening and Gas Dehydration process systems required for the Lekhwair Gas Field Development (LGFD) Project in Oman. The contract is one of several awarded across the GPS Group recently worth a combined total of some US$200 million.
GPS Group Chief Executive Ian Prescott said, “This represents a major milestone for both Larsen & Toubro and GPS in winning this key project from Petroleum Development Oman (PDO), one of the major national oil companies in the region. We are delighted to have achieved this success with such a prestigious client in what is widely regarded as a very competitive market. We welcome the opportunity to work with Larsen & Toubro, one of the world leaders in the execution of Oil & Gas EP and EPC contracts.” Work has already commenced at the GPS office in Dubai, UAE, and will be carried out on a fast-track schedule.
